Dr. Gabriel Hunt's Staff
Gohar Abrahamyan, MS, PA-C
Gohar Abrahamyan, MS, PA-C is a Physician Assistant in practice since 2003. She graduated from California State University of Northridge in 2000 with a Bachelors degree in Biology.
Gohar began working in a microbiology lab in 2001 but quickly learned the she was more interested in taking care of patients rather than their specimens. She went back to school and earned a Masters of Science degree in Physician Assistant (PA) Studies from Western University of Health Sciences in 2003.
Initially, Gohar ran a busy internal medicine practice, but always had her eye out for a more challenging and hands-on field. In 2004 she began working as a P.A. in pediatric neurosurgery, where she regularly performed demanding feats, working with children and their families fighting for their lives. To expand her knowledge of neurosurgery, Gohar began working with adults and children both. She is now in a busy neurosurgical practice with Dr. Gabriel E. Hunt Jr. at the Spine Center at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where she is involved in every aspect of patient care alongside Dr. Gabriel Hunt.
Gohar keeps her medical knowledge up to date by frequently attending nationwide and worldwide neurosurgical conferences. She also traveled to Africa in the fall of 2010 with Dr Gabriel Hunt and his team for a medical mission. She is a big advocate for serving the underserved and is planning to do several medical missions throughout the world.
Kathy Banegas is Dr. Gabriel Hunt's Executive Assistant. She has a degree in Health Services Administration and six years experience in the medical field. Kathy takes great pride in helping patients obtain the best quality of care. Kathy is also an AmeriCorps Alum for which she received two education awards from President George W. Bush for her service in cities such as New Orleans, Philadelphia, Los Angeles and Kiev, Ukraine. Kathy is inspired daily by the Hunt Foundation and the work that Dr. Gabriel Hunt and Dr. Leonel Hunt do to serve in underdeveloped countries.
Kristine Aquino is the clinic coordinator for Dr. Gabriel Hunt. She assists in management and coordination of clinic activities, such as scheduling appointments, preparing patient charts, and submitting authorizations/procedure requests. She has a B.S. in Health Administration from California State University, Northridge and has 2.5 years of experience in the medical field. Kristine is passionate about helping others, understands the urgency of patients’ needs, and strongly believes in delivering quality healthcare services. She is proud to be a part of Hunt Spine and is inspired by the work that Dr. Gabriel and Leonel Hunt do for the Hunt Foundation.
Jeannet Cendejas is Dr. Gabriel Hunt‘s Surgical Coordinator. She sets up all patients for surgery and ensures that they are all taken care of before and after surgery. Jeannet helps set up administrative clearance for surgery to proceed. She works directly with the patient, answering questions, confirming the schedule, and determining payment methods. She is currently in school and in the process of obtaining her BA in Psychology. Her employment history consists of customer service and marketing skills for over 5 years. The experience that she has gained has helped her understand patients’ urgency and needs. Her educational experience has helped her reason with patients and reassures patients with their decision when in doubt. Jeannet is proud to be a part of the Hunt Foundation and is inspired by their passion to help people in need.

Dr. Leonel Hunt's Staff
Johana Gonzalez has been with Dr. Leonel Hunt’s office for three years. She helps prepare the clinic and handles disability forms, calendar, answering calls and scheduling office appointments and is now Surgical Coordinator for Dr. Hunt. Johana loves that all the office staff pitches in to help one another, and that Dr. Hunt makes their job easy by being such a wonderful person to work for.
Wendy Meza has been with Dr. Leonel Hunt’s office for two years. She handles surgical scheduling, legal, billing, and customer service. Wendy enjoys working with the office staff and loves that everyone knows how to do everyone else’s job, so they can all work together. She also appreciates the positive working atmosphere Dr. Hunt has created, and that Dr. Hunt truly cares about his patients.
Jamie Galarraga has been with Dr. Leonel Hunt’s office for two years. She has a decade of experience in the medical field, as a medical office services specialist and as a surgical coordinator. She is currently assisting with Dr. Hunt’s clinic, special projects, orders, and scheduling. Jamie enjoys the positive atmosphere of Dr. Hunt’s office. She especially admires Dr. Hunt’s innovative ideas and his vision for The Hunt Foundation. She is inspired by how much Dr. Hunt cares for his patients beyond his practice and is grateful for the opportunity to work with him and his staff.
